Scissors!!

A few months ago my friend Hilary was telling me (or rather raging on about) how her 2 year old got ahold of some scissors and cut her own and her sister's hair. I remember thinking, and maybe even saying "we don't even have scissors out for our kids to ever do that." WELL, last night I bought Sofia a pair of "safety scissors" to start practicing her cutting skills for preschool. She tried them out this morning and threw them aside. A couple of hours later, Grayson came upstairs and said "cut hair", but he had slices in his t-shirt. After mussing his hair a bit, lots of little blonde hairs fell to the floor too. Boy am I eating my words. Here's the little trouble maker about a minute after I found him. He even looks like he knows he did something wrong!

He really looks like trouble! He also looks so proud. Oh, my, the things to look forward to. I will be sure to learn from this!

I keep the scissors under lock and key, because we had a few slices in her sheets. Natasha hates me for keeping them away from her, but oh well, less sheets for me to have to buy!

Every child must do this at some point. Nadja cut her hair when she was in preschool. She cut right along the side above her ears. YIKES. She had such a mushroom of a head after I tried to even it out.

Oh NO, NATALIE!!! I completely feel for you. . . at least it wasn't as long lasting as Vivie and Ella's experience! Ella's hair *STILL* isn't even!! Poor girl, starting kindergarten in 10 days. . .

What a little rascal (you gotta love little boys) -- at least he didn't cut his hair or himself.
