Grayson is 3!

Our little man turned 3 today! I can't believe he's gotten so big, so quickly. He absolutely loves trains and got this great train table for his birthday. Thomas is by far his favorite. The only books and movies he'll check out at the library are Thomas. He even asked Grandma to buy him a Thomas toothbrush for his birthday (which she did!). He is a runner, jumper, climber, but is definitely the most snuggly of all our kids. He loves to read books in his bed at night, sing songs, and is always wondering where things come from... "Mom, where did you buy that"... for EVERYTHING from his socks to our TV. He's pretty posessive with his toys, but shares willingly if asked nicely. He adores play time and attention from his older sister, and mostly tries to survive his little sister's antics but can be very sweet to her too. His favorite food is probably pizza (preferably from Hungry Howie's and not from mom's kitchen) and his favorite drink is Chocolate Milk, which he really just calls "chocolate to drink". He is the ultimate middle child and is always looking for extra snuggles and attention. He evens out our family beautifully with his boyish personality to offset all his sisters' girliness. We love him fiercely. Happy Birthday little man.

She's a reader

I was in the bathroom getting ready this morning and could hear Scarlett nearby babbling away to herself. It sounded a bit different though, like it had a definite rhythm to it. It sounded so cute, I had to peek out and see what was going on. Here she was, sitting on the steps reading a book out loud to herself. It was just too precious. I had to take a picture. Now I'm regretting that I was too lazy to fix her hair and she had yesterday's pigtails still in. Oh well, still cute.

Easter Morning

Yep, it was kinda all about the candy and eggs for us on Sunday morning. After reading everyone's Saturday celebration idea, we may change this up next year and actually focus on the Savior on Sunday. We always did it on Sunday in my house though. So here's Grayson showing off his Thomas bubble blower.

Just for laughs...

Scarlett was rolling on the floor and making crazy noises first. I didn't get the camera in time and she wouldn't do a repeat. The other kids decided to be copy cats.... so you kinda get the gist of Scarlett's act.

Last Friday I decided to take the kids to the free butterfly exhibit at Oakland Mall. The last few years, Sofia has been a bit scared of the butterflies (last year she claimed it was to stinky), but was VERY excited to go this year. She even wore her butterfly jeans and shirt. As we were walking in, Sofia changed her mind and I had to drag her into the tent. She cried the whole time... scared to death! Really, who is scared of butterflies??!! She was really disappointed in herself afterward, but recovered well. Here's a few pictures of our 10 minute tour. Grayson wasn't scared at all (neither was Scarlett), but he didn't want to hold the butterfly.
We weren't allowed to touch the monarch butterflies, but they were pretty to look at.
I don't remember what kid of butterfly this is, but if was fun to hold on my finger.
We weren't allowed to touch the butterflies that were eating the fruit either.
All 3 kids excited to go in.
