Planning is better with icecream...
We told our Young Women to come to my house tonight for an ice cream party. They didn't know they were going to be planning their Tuesday night activities for the next few months (hee, hee!!). After they were done planning, the madness began. Sister Thurman thought it would be fun to have the girls bond over a big communal icecream sundae all over my kitchen table. We put saran wrap down and them the go to it. There were a few germaphobes in the group, but even they got into it after a while.
Jessica was all about the cherries.
Eiron loved the whipped cream...
... She even shot some in Trycia's mouth.

Daredevil children and just bad parenting I guess...
Sometimes we just want to see what will happen. Maybe we should be a little more careful with our little ones. Maybe tomorrow, but here's what happened today:
We let our 2 year old push our 10 month old around in a cozy coupe car.
We saw how many kids can pile on a cozy couple car. Someone's bound to fall.
Told ya. There goes Sofia.
Deck railing. Trampoline. This can't be safe.
We were right. There she goes.... and then again and again and again.

Thank you Aunt Heather!!
Scarlett got to wear her beautiful dress a few weeks ago at church and Sofia was really jealous. It was a dress she wore herself to a wedding 4 years ago. I remembered that her cousins, Madeleine and Morgan wore matching dress and asked Aunt Heather if she still had one that would fit Sofia. She did! Here are the girls at church today looking fancy as ever. Thanks Heather!!
Our ballerinas are back!
Our little group of Roseville Ward ballerinas are back this year. We're really missing Addison, Rachel, and Aili this year, but Taylor has joined in on the fun. Here are Taylor, Sofia and Ella waiting for class.
Elise and Brinley were late. We got a picture with Elise, but somehow Brinley managed to elude us. We'll have to try to snap her picture tomorrow.
This is Sofia's "performance". I asked her dance a bit so I could take her picture. This looks more like an airplane imitation to me. She's got more work to do I guess.
Sofia's really happy to be back in Miss Anne's class. Can you tell?

Nothin' but rain.
We've had rain ALL WEEK. I love this kind of weather, but the kids hate it. They like to jump on the trampoline and play outside every morning. After days of rain, I just finallly let them go outside with raincoats. They were pretty excited. They didn't even take time to take off their jammies and get dressed.

Mom's Birthday!
Well, I turned 25 today... for the 5th time! I got to stay in bed until 7:45am and wrangled whiny kids all morning. We met my friend Angie and her kids at Caesarland for lunch. Fun for everyone. Angie bought me some very cheery, yellow mums and a bag of DELICIOUS chocolate cookies from Trader Joe's. What a great friend. Just what I needed. I put two kids to bed and kicked one down to the basement to play/watch a movie and I actually took about 1/2 hour nap! Went shopping for ballet shoes and clothes for Fia and then met Tadj at Red Robin for dinner. We actually had fun there this time. The kids were happy and even ate their dinner and MY ice cream. Tadj and Sofia baked cupcakes last night, so we came home, frosted and decorated them and devoured them (Man, birthdays are fattening!). Now the kids are in bed, Tadj is cleaning up, and I get a few minutes to myself. What do I do?... BLOG!! Here are fun pictures from Red Robin. Ahhhh, my last year as a twenty something! I hope it's a good one!
Me and Sofia waiting for dinner. Why does she get the tiara? Aren't I the princess today?
Tadj and Grayson goofing around.
Scarlett enjoyed my balloon more than I did, so I let her have it. Am I a good mom or what?
Me with my yummy Sundae and balloons.

A round of applause!
Another baby milestone! Scarlett has been trying to clap her hands for so long. She's always excited about something. Up until about a week ago, she has used her right hand to sort of pat the back of her left hand... cute, but not quite right. Well, now she has mastered the art of applause and EVERYTHING is deserving of that gesture. Is there music playing? Scarlett will clap. Is Sofia dancing? That deserves a clap too. Is Grayson laughing? Of course Scarlett's clapping. Just another way for our happy baby to spread more cheer. Here are cute pictures of her showing off her new skill. (BTW, I know my kitchen floor is dirty... I'm getting there, I'm getting there!)
